Since the pandemic hit in March 2020, businesses worldwide have had to make adaptations to survive. We adapted our services from our typical acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews and lease renewals to handling hundreds of Coronavirus lease negotiations, and thus enabled many of our struggling clients to go from ‘surviving to thriving’! We have also acted for Landlords collecting rents from their beleaguered Tenants.
Our work also included spearheading a ‘#GiveHospitalityaBreak’ campaign, a successful petition requesting that the government extend the rent moratorium to support the hospitality industry, in addition to running a series of educational webinars to provide advice to Tenants and Landlords during these difficult times. Media coverage on BBC News, CGTN China and Bloomberg was welcomed.
Anthony Lorenz Wins ‘Most Promising Newcomer’
Anthony Lorenz was thrilled to be awarded the trophy for Most Promising Newcomer, at the PROPS 2021 Awards, after 55 years in the industry, celebrating an individual’s contribution to the UK property market. The PROPS Awards is a prestigious event that has previously celebrated doyennes such as Gerald Ronson CBE, Irvine Sellar (The Shard), Tony Pidgley CBE (Berkeley Homes), Sir John Beckwith CBE, Sir John Ritblat, Sol Kerzner and Mike Slade to name but a few.
He was the first Property Consultant to win the award, mentioning in passing that he wouldn’t have needed to run a general estate agency acting for multiple clients, if he handled all the property work for one or two of the above names.
Nominated for the Renewal Award at the EG Awards
We was also shortlisted for the ‘Renewal Award’ at the EG 2021 Awards – a property industry highlight which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.
Seeking to ‘celebrate those businesses that had to pivot, reinvent or reimagine their businesses in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic’, the nomination for this special Renewal Award was recognition of the many ways The Lorenz Consultancy has sought to support businesses and Landlords in the office and hospitality sector, throughout the pandemic.
