Clerkenwell & Farringdon
Clerkenwell was once home to many breweries, distilleries, watchmakers and printers. During the industrial revolution, Kodak opened a factory and storefront here. In recent years, the area has welcomed lots of architects and designers and now hosts an annual Design Week. The Barbican Arts Centre can be found nearby, as can plenty of pubs, bars, and street food markets.
Although public transport links are not as prominent here, the Barbican and Angel tube stations are not too far away. Farringdon Station provides national services. Another big attraction is Smithfields, the historic and largest meat and poultry market in the UK.
Thanks to post-war gentrification, many Clerkenwell offices provide an overspill for the City of London and West End, so the area is far from unknown to big-name businesses. At Lorenz, we can help you find offices here, as well as offices in Farringdon.
